Hello,

I have been having problems with my wifi connection for the last week (glasvezel). My connection either drops or is completely dead.

I have followed the steps described in the wiki link:

I have also restarted several times, the connection works for an hour and then either keeps dropping or is completely dead. Super frustrating as today I had to use a mobile hotspot for an important work meeting 😨

I am starting to think that maybe the problem is with the physical box.

How do I get someone from Odido to come out and take a look?

Thanks!

I don't think it's a problem with the fiber as the internet line remains green. What have you connected to the Zyxel wired?

Fill in all the privé fields in your community profile so a moderator can check this for you.

You can also try a factory reset of the router by pressing the reset button on the back of your router for about 10 seconds using a small object.

Hello @therebelos

Are you only using the Zyxel router or are you also using an extender or another router?

Does the globe turn red on the router when there is no connection?

And what about wired internet, does that work well?

Hi @Waqqas,

I am using the Zyxel modem from Odido in combination with Google Mesh WiFi. (Could this be the problem?)

The globe stays green and flashes, but there is no connection.

I do not have a cable available to check right now. I'll see if I can borrow one from a friend.

Thanks

If you remove the Google WiFi, is the WiFi from the Zyxel router stable than?

I am busy doing this as I type.

What I have learned so far is that my LG tv does not like the 5G connection so I had to turn the 2.4G connection back on for it to be able to connect.

🤞🏻

Afterwards when you connect the Google WiFi again, make sure it is working in another IP range 192.168.0.1 for example and turn the WiFi in the Zyxel off.

Yes.

The Google WiFi doesn't work as it is plugged into the Zyxel modem.

I have experienced much better connectivity since removing the Google WiFi, no connectivity loses. I wanted to make sure that it wasn't just a fluke, so I left it as such to test since yesterday (hence the delay in reply). And can report back that it's going so much better now 🤞🏼

I do however note that I will probably need a wifi repeater/extender as the connection is  not as strong on the second floor.

Thanks for all the help @Waqqas - I will keep you posted 🤞🏼

Hi @Waqqas,

I have had the setup running for +- 2 weeks and this past week the connection again was either non-existent or would connect and then drop repeatedly.

I am not sure what to do anymore.

I would like to get a technician out to take a look. Maybe there is something wrong with the actual fibre line. How do I request this?

Thanks for all the help so far,

Analiza
