slow internet

Hello,

For about three weeks now, my internet has been working very poorly. I have a 1000 Mbps connection, so I believe YouTube shouldn't have any issues loading, but unfortunately, it still keeps buffering.

Resetting the router does not help. Could someone please check what is wrong with my connection?

Kind regards,

Kamil

Hi @Kamiloos17, thank you so much! I just investigated your connection, but I can't find any faults. It is looking fantastic, to be honest. Is it possible to connect our wifiextender by cable to the modem? Does that make any difference? If not, could you maybe note the time and date that your connection drops, and if this is via wifi or ethernet? As we can't find any faults here, also check the Mpro Mesh app, to check your wireless connection in home!

Hello @Kamiloos17

Can you do a wired speedtest with a laptop to see if you are getting around 1000 Mbps?

Do you also have issues with other devices while browsing or gaming?

Hey,

I did a speed test on my laptop and the results look great: around 700 Mbps download, 570 Mbps upload, 8ms ping, and 1 jitter.

However, I'm experiencing frequent buffering/stutters. It’s not happening constantly, but it happens very often. The issue isn't just on my laptop—it's also happening on both mine and my wife's phones.

I don't play online games at the moment, so it's hard to tell how it behaves there, but we mostly notice it while watching YouTube and streaming on Kick.

@Kamiloos17

Are you connected via WiFi while streaming?

Are you connected to the router or to a WiFi booster?

I'm connected via Wi-Fi to the main router, which is located inside the fuse box (meter cupboard). I’m also using a Wi-Fi booster to connect my PS5 with an Ethernet cable, as that's what the technician recommended.

@Kamiloos17

The fuse boxx is not the ideal location for the router as WiFi sifnal may be affected, try moving the router out of the fuse box using a long LAN cable between ONT and router.

@Waqqas The router has been there for 2-3 years, and everything has been working fine until now. I'm currently on the first floor, and the Wi-Fi signal is at 3 bars. Right now, YouTube and Kick are working perfectly. These slowdowns happen at random times—sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the evening. Can you monitor my connection somehow?

@Kamiloos17

Im not a moderator so I cannot check this for you, please wait for a moderator to reply.

Maybe it helps to choose another channel for the WiFi.
