Complaint – Subscription Not Cancelled and Unauthorised Charges

Dear Odido Customer Service,

I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding my Odido subscription and the repeated charges that have been deducted from my bank account even after I requested cancellation several times.

I purchased a phone together with an Odido subscription. My subscription period ended in May, and I was not aware that I had to separately cancel the subscription after the contract period ended.

When I received an invoice for June, I immediately contacted Odido by phone and explained that I wanted the subscription to be stopped. I was told during the call that the subscription had been cancelled. However, I did not receive any confirmation email.

Despite this, I received another invoice for July. I then tried to cancel the subscription myself through the Odido mobile app. I received a confirmation stating that my subscription would end on 15 August 2026. However, I have already received another invoice for August, and the app is still showing that new credits will be added within 22 days.

This is extremely concerning because I have now requested cancellation three times, yet charges have continued to be deducted from my bank account.

I therefore request that you:

Immediately stop my subscription and all further charges.

Refund all amounts that have been charged to me from June, July and August, as I had already requested cancellation in June.

Investigate why my cancellation request was not processed when I first contacted Odido.

Confirm in writing that my subscription has been completely terminated and that I am no longer an active customer for this subscription.

Confirm that no further payments, invoices, credits or other charges will be deducted from my bank account.

I have contacted Odido multiple times and have followed the instructions provided to me. It is therefore not acceptable that I continue to be charged after repeatedly requesting cancellation.

Please treat this as a formal complaint and take the necessary steps to resolve the issue and refund the incorrectly charged amounts.

I would like to receive a written confirmation by email once the cancellation and refund have been processed.

Kind regards,

Monika Rahman

Hi @Monika789 .You talk here with other customers on s forum. The direct customer care is only avaliable by phone.

How does this work;

1) In the netherlands subscriptions do not end without a formal cancellation from the owner.

2) when finally did that, you received an email with the end date. That is always with a 1 month cancellation period as in the conditions of your contract.

3) subscriptions are paid ahead per month. When a subscription is ended, there will come an end invoice with a pro rato calculation for the days which the subscription was ended. The amount on that credit invoice will be returned to your bankaccount.

As it is the 15th of august today, you will find that before the end of the day your simcard will not work anymore. Be patiënt as the creditinvoice will come next month.

Hello @Monika789

The app doesn't show that your subscription will end on 15rh August. Odído charges you at the start of each month, once your subscription ends on 15 August, you will receive your money back for the days you didn't have a subscription anymore.

If your subscription stops working today, the process is correct and a credit invoice will follow.

If you doubt and the simcard is still working in your phone, call 0800-0092. The app is not a reliable source to see if the subscription ends today.

@Monika789

Odído officials are also active here and they reply where they need to, in the weekend it can take longer for someone to reply.
