No LAN connection on ONT after power outage

Today I had some work done in my meterkast, during which the internet was powered off.

After the work was finished, the Internet connection stopped working: the PON LED on the Huawei device is always on, but the 10G LAN doesn’t turn on. Of course, I’ve tried turning the devices on and off in different combinations and using alternative cables between the Huawei and the router.

After browsing the community, I found out that it is very likely a defect in the PON device.

How can I arrange for that to get fixed? Thanks!

I ended up calling Odido Tech Support, and a technician from Guidion came over the very next morning.

The problem was indeed with the ONT device/media converter.

It was replaced, and everything works fine now.

Hello @AlexeyK

Is the ONT connected to the blue WAN port of the router? Fill in all the privé fields in your community profile so a moderator can send a technician.

Hello @Waqqas,

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, the ONT is connected to the blue WAN port with the stock yellow cable, as it was.

I’ve populated all the fields in the profile.
