KPN gave the allowed porting data to Odido when you asked for number portability. 4 months ahead of the contract ending you can already apply for this while when you stay at an operator you can already apply for a renewal 4 months ahead before the contract ends. In all cases, the new contract will start at the very end of the 24 months term of the initial contract.

When you opt for nummerbehoud you'll receive a temporary number till the date your numbers gets ported. No idea why your subscription starts after 4 months.
