WX5600 AP easy mesh "sticky client" issue

I don't think this will go very far (apologies for writing in English beforehand), but trying my luck.

I have a Zyxel T56 and two WX5600 AP, on easy mesh mode. Each device is on a separate floor (router ground floor on meterkast, one AP on first floor , another on the second). The problem I have is that when I move floors many times the devices "stick" to the first device they were connected and don't roam to the closest AP. This makes the mesh essentially useless, as I will have the devices connected to the router on the ground floor while on the top floor and vice versa. The speed in such cases are very low.

Since easy mesh and odido firmware block almost all configurations, there is no way for me to adjust the behavior. I tried playing with the transmit power of each band to no avail. I can't even separate 2.4 and 5 GHz bands to see if the behavior improves.

I'm writing this with the hope Odido improves the current firmware and "kicks" clients more aggressively of the APs

Hello @solemgar

Separating 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz is possible but it is not recommended when you stee using AP's because they won't work then.

Of you look in the mpro mesh app, are both AP's visible and is mesh up?

Yes, in the mesh app both are visible and they seem to work fine. If I manually disconnect the wifi from my device it usually connects to the closest one. It's the roaming what does not work. I believe it's due the access points being too close to each other, I see signal strong in my phone but link speed very low (5mps) when this happens. The only fix is to disconnect and connect the wifi to force the device to connect to the closest one. I would expect easy mesh to do this automatically

I turned off one of the access points (the one in the middle floor) but it didn't really make a difference. Like this, the access points are not useful at all
