Hi. I am facing problem with internet connection in Baarle Hertoglaan in Eindhoven.

I have this Huawei device. The PON light is blinking and LOS light is off. The modem is Zyxel and the internet light is red.

 


You can call 0800-0092 to open a ticket. But waiting a few hours is normally a good idea.

I looked into the system immediately to measure your connection and indeed see that something is not quite right. Can you please give the router as well as the ONT (fiber box) a reset?

You can do this as follows:

  1. Disconnect the router and the Media Converter/ONT (the small white or black box) from the power.
  2. Wait at least 10 seconds. Then connect the Media Converter/ONT to the power again and let it 
  3. Restart for 30 seconds. Then connect the router to the power again.
  4. Wait until everything has started up completely.
  5. heck whether the services are working again.

Please let me know if this helped. If not, I will send a technician your way.

What you suggested was the first thing I tried, in fact tried number of times, but no luck. Your colleague scheduled an appointment for a technician visit for tomorrow, hopefully it will be resolved tomorrow.

I also got that 7 days unlimited internet voucher, but honestly that doesn't help a lot. I would like to suggest that odido should provide a portal wifi device with a SIM for such downtimes. I got that from my earlier provider. Mobile is not at home everytime, it goes out with the person. Also, the wifi range of a mobile is very limited, so you get internet only at the place where mobile is kept. And, luckily I have a BEN mobile subscription. What if I don't have odido/Ben mobile, then you will leave me without internet till the time technician visits me, at least 3-4 days. Overall, I don't see 7 days voucher as a big help. This would be my feedback based on my recent experience.
