hello All,

I experienced that my zytel T50 is resetting to factory settings even after simple reboots operation (done remotely through the admin interface). This is not happening all the times but it is happening. This is of course a problem because it is disabling remote management settings (http/s acces via Wan) which I can’t set back when I’m abroad because the admin interface is not accessible anymore. Did anybody experience the same behaviour for such a router (and in case what do you think the problem could be) and assuming this can happen, do you know how to set enable remote management by default (as part of the factory settings). Thanks!

Hi @rgiaffreda, welcome to our Community!

Good of you to bring this up. I would like to ask if @TMTV & @Pieter_B could have a look at this. Could you be a little more specific? I immediately did a line measurement. I see that the modem has not been reset or restarted in the last 12 days.

Hello, I had to ask somebody to go physically there, login and allow remote management again. Of course I absolutely do not plan to reboot anymore until i’m back in 2 weeks. I also planned a visit with a specialist through T-mobile, hopefully I can reproduce the event. It happened so often in the last 2 months that either it is a known issue or the modem need to be replaced. Maybe there is a combination of events like reboot from mobile with a non dutch IP which creates troubles.. really do not know yet.

I even wonder if a firmware upgrade could help as it is a bit old but I understand this is not under the responsibility of T-mobile and there is no support in case I do it myself.

@rgiaffreda I happen to know that a new firmware update is coming. We currently do not know when this will happen.
