Wired and wifi devices could not interact between each other

Hi! I have the exact same issue as @Vasilii here. I previously had Ziggo modem on which I’ve had 2 wired machines (running Proxmox servers), main WiFi network and guest WiFi network. Previously with Ziggo’s modem I was able connect between the devices on the main WiFi network and the wired machines without any issues, out of the box. Now I got a Zyxel DX5401-B1, which seems to block somehow the connection from the WiFi to the wired devices - `ping -c 3 <IP>` fails. The two wired machines can see each other though, the ping from one machine to the other works.

I have put the firewall to the lowest. I just got the modem out of the box and have not done any other custom settings, only enabling guest network and changing wifi names and passwords.

@Vasilii I do not know if you get any notifications about mentions of you, but in the chance you do, have you solved the issue?

I did manage to find the culprit. The new router had a different local net IP, my previous one was 192.168.178.X and the new modem had 192.168.1.X.

Now, one option to solve it is to change the IPs at which your server is pointing to 192.168.1.X, however, this would have created a lot of headaches and many hours for me, as I host quite some stuff on my local network.

What I did was to change Zyxel’s local IP network from 192.168.1.X to 192.168.178.X. Can be done from the main menu “Connection Status” → “Lan” → “LAN IP Setup”, it should also change automatically your “IP Addressing Values”.

Hello @kaloyantanev

Are you connected to the main WiFi network or to the guest network?
