Blacklist Mobile by IMEI

Hello,

My phone was recently stolen. I have a subscription with Odido and have already secured a new device and eSIM with the same number. I also had the SIM from the stolen phone blocked.

I would now like to request that my stolen phone be blacklisted by its IMEI. From what I’ve read, this process is handled by the mobile carrier, and I understand it’s possible to have the IMEI added to the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR), which helps block the device from being used on networks across the EU.

Could someone please advise me on how I can initiate this process? I attempted to call customer support, but unfortunately, I am not fluent in Dutch and was unable to complete the request over the phone.

Best regards,
Kritvi

Hi Kritvi, welcome to our community. I’m sorry to hear about your phone being stolen. Good to see you contact us right away. Please add your full name, 06-number, date of birth, zip code, house number and the last 4 digits of your IBAN to your profile. Then, I can block your sim card right away. I’m not sure what you mean by blacklisting by IMEI. We as Odido can’t do this, however you can file a report with the police for your stolen phone. This is where your IMEI-number comes in. You will need this to file the report.

You can find your IMEI here:

  • On the box that came with your phone
  • On the receipt if you bought your phone at our Shop or packing slip with delivery (pakbon)
  • and possibly on your contract (in the mail or via Mijn Odido)

Please let me know if you completed your profile. Let’s get your sim card black first as soon as possible! 😊
