Request to remove negative BKR registration by Odido regarding mortgage application

Dear Odido,

 

I am writing to you with an urgent request because I am currently stuck in my mortgage application due to a negative BKR registration. This is a very stressful situation for me, and I hope you can help me.

 

The negative registration occurred during a hectic period in my life. During covid, I unfortunately missed a monthly payment. Due to all the chaos, I had neglected to report my change of address in time, which meant that I missed important letters. When I became aware of this, I immediately contacted your customer service and tried to resolve everything.

 

During my conversations with customer service I got different answers. Eventually I was advised to pay off the entire outstanding amount in one go. I did this immediately, because I was promised that this would remove the negative registration, and I received an email saying that it will be removed in a week.  Unfortunately, it was not. I have emailed incasso@odido.nl  and no one is answering. 

 

I feel really desperate, because I have done everything that was asked of me and now I am stuck.  I had really hoped that I would have heard something today, unfortunately this was not the case. this Monday is our deadline for the suspensive conditions, so I really hope that it can be resolved as soon as possible! 

 

Therefore, I would like to kindly but urgently request you to reconsider my situation and remove the negative BKR registration. I would like my mortgage to be approved and hope that you can help me with this. If you need more information, I am of course ready to provide it.

I, too, hope that we can fix your BKR registration very soon, because I'd love for you to get your mortgage. I've looked into your account, and I see that you've already had some contact with my colleagues from Incasso. The registration was removed on January 30th by my colleague, but I'm afraid something has gone wrong. I see that your e-mail from Thursday will be picked up very soon. I've messaged my colleague with the request to look into your situation again. Hoping he is still working this afternoon. If he's not available anymore today, my colleague will be back tomorrow, so I will ask him to look at your e-mail too. I can't make any promises, but sometimes they pick up cases sooner, if I ask them. I will be back with you today or tomorrow, and you will definitely have more clarity on the situation!

Hi Ameni, I'm sorry to hear that you lost the house. It always takes a while before my colleagues can pick up a case, because there are so many requests. The good news is that my colleague removed the registration yesterday, and checked it on different platforms. So, the registration is really removed this time! 😊 It might take 1 or 2 days before this is fully processed everywhere. I'm wishing there is still a chance for you at the house. Otherwise, you will be fully ready for the next one!

However, as the screenshot shows, I still see the registration displayed. Is that normal?

Dear Merciano, I see that the issue is still there, and registration was not removed. What is the solution for that? this is the second time it happens and it doesn’t get away. I feel it is endless.

Good morning Ameni, I see now that on the screenshot it says an open amount of € 792. Have you paid this amount? The registration that my colleagues looked at, and removed was for an amount of € 467,38. This seems like a whole other registration. If you look at the registration under 'beëindigd’ do you see the registration for the amount of € 467,38? If this is a second registration, I will have to ask you to e-mail my colleagues again at incasso@odido.nl with all the information for this registration. If you haven't paid the amount of € 792, please pay it before e-mailing them, otherwise my colleagues can't remove this registration, and they will also ask you to pay it first, so that will also take longer for them to help you. Please keep me up to date!

I have contacted them with the registration I have. Initially, I had a registration for €792, and after providing all the relevant information, they confirmed that the only outstanding amount I have is €467, which I have paid in full. Please see the screenshot below for reference.

The €792 was the original phone amount, and I paid part of it, leaving €467. You sent me the bill via email stating that I should pay this amount, and once I did, it would be removed. Please find the attached proof of what I am saying.

Hi Ameni, thank you for your reply and screenshots! I've checked with my colleagues from Incasso and they told me that the registration is indeed still visible, but the details (bijzonderheden) are removed. You should not have any issues with this anymore. So, please don't worry about the registration being visible, and please try to get the mortgage. It should be no problem. I'd love to hear from you!

Thank you for checking with your colleagues and for the update. However, I’m a bit confused; if the details (bijzonderheden) were removed, why is the registration still visible? I had a similar situation with another company, and once the registration was removed, it was completely taken out of the system and no longer visible at all. Could you clarify why this one is still appearing?

Hi ​@Ameni, once the registration is removed, it may take a few business days for it to be updated in your BKR statement. It always takes a few business days for this to be updated, but the registration should no longer cause problems when applying for a mortgage!

Now almost two weeks passed and the registration is still there! what should I do more than what was already done? is it wise to seek legal assistance in this case? does it usually take more than two months to remove a simple bkr registration?

Chances are slim that we can remove it, otherwise my colleague would have done this already. Besides that, as I said you should not have any issues with it, even though it's still visible. I wanted to clarify that I’ve had a similar situation with another company, and the registration was removed in three working days without any issues. I don’t understand why this seems to be an ongoing issue with Oodidoo. It’s frustrating that the same process doesn't apply here.

Additionally, I’ve found communication with you quite challenging. I’ve sent multiple emails and have not received responses, and there is no available phone line for immediate assistance. This has made it difficult to get clear answers.

At this point, I feel my last resort may be to seek legal assistance. I don’t want to risk ridiculing myself or losing money again by involving a makelaar and financial advisor, only to face the same issue with another house. It’s not as simple as just "trying" again.

I would appreciate it if you could take this matter seriously and provide a more effective resolution.

Hi Ameni, I can't tell you what the situation is with your registration completely, and why this is different from earlier experiences. I'd love to keep helping you, but I am not a BKR expert. I'm forwarding information that my colleagues give me to you. It is true that they are only available through e-mail. Please know that they get many requests and that it can take a bit before they reply. But if you have more questions or if you don't agree with the current situation (details removed, but registration visible), they are asking you to e-mail them about this to incasso@odido.nl. They can give you more information about it. I hope you understand that I am taking this seriously, and I've been told by the experts that you shouldn't have any issues with the current situation. However, I think it is best for you to contact them directly and keep the communication via them per e-mail as they are the experts on this matter. I'm hoping they can remove the registration as a whole, but please e-mail them with arguments on why you want this. They will look into it again!
