Hello, I want to change my personal internet account to a corporate internet account. Is this possible?

I want to change an existing subscription, not a new one.

Any special reason why you want to switch to a business line?

Hello, yes. I need a static IP address. Last year, I was using 8 gigabit internet, but this year I switched to 2 gigabit. I can't survive without a static IP address anymore.

Ok. The IP with a consumer line does not change often. In the one year I’m with Odido it changed one time for me. If you want to have a hostname which doesn’t change, you could use DDNS in the router to automatically update a hostname. For example you could have juststar.duckdns.org as static hostname. When your IP changes (which is not often) it will be automatically updated and you can keep using the same hostname.

For the free duckdns service you can set the settings below in your router:

Dynamische DNS Inschakelen
Serviceprovider: DNS user defined
Verbindingstype: HTTPS
URL update: www.duckdns.org/update?domains=yourdomein&token=jouwtokenbijduckdns
Hostnaam: yourdomein.duckdns.org
Gebruikersnaam: NA
Wachtwoord: NA

But if you really want to have a static IP, then yes, business is the way to go.

@juststar

Hello, that should be possible. Contact the business customer support on telephone number 0800 7112 and they will guide you through the proces.

hi,

thanks

I know a little English. That's why I'm contacting them through the forum. I believe my chances of speaking with a Turkish-speaking consultant are slim. But I'll try to contact a relative who speaks the language.

best regards

Hello, yes. I need a static IP address. Last year, I was using 8 gigabit internet, but this year I switched to 2 gigabit. I can't survive without a static IP address anymore. I'm a photographer. I rent a server, but unfortunately, the prices of dedicated servers have increased these days. I have two computers. I'll be setting up a server at my own location so I can always access my personal files and publish my personal websites. thanks. best regards

Hello, I called customer service. They said they only offer mobile internet as business internet. I don't understand why. I see on the website that you have 1 Gbit/1 Gbit static IP internet service. I don't understand why they haven't helped me. My area supports fiber internet. I used 8 Gbit last year.

Yes, b2b has different offers than b2c. If you need the 8gbit connection,  you need to find your way around the static ip. You can not have both.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I don't want 8Gbit internet. I used that last year anyway. I only need a static IP. I called customer service. I explained that I wanted to transfer my personal internet to a corporate service and requested a static IP. They told me they could only provide mobile internet. When I checked your website, I see that you still offer static IP and 1/1Gbit internet for businesses. I have a company. Can you help me?

Try calling them again. It sounds like the person you spoke to didn’t fully understand you, and some representatives are incompetent (often students working part-time).

Although I'm still not sure what a static IP is of use for a company because the dynamic IP doesn't change much and you would still need to get a hostname as a company (I also have a company on a consumer line). Did you try my suggestion for setting up ddns? You can try this before switching to a business line to see it it's sufficient.
