1095DD - 3 weeks without internet - ghosted by support and zero updates

Hi Odido Community team,

I am writing this here because my patience has completely run out. I have been without my home internet (Fiber 400 Mbit/s) since May 4th, 2026.

Every single time I call Odido support (0800-0092), I get the exact same script: "We will investigate this and call you back." No one ever calls back. I am being completely ghosted by your customer service.

The Situation:

I was informed that KPN (the grid operator) cannot access the fiber infrastructure because the municipality placed a planter/tree over the access point. While I understand this involves third parties, it is Odido's responsibility as my provider to coordinate, get a timeline, and keep me updated. Instead, I am left completely in the dark.

The Mobile Internet "Solution" is a Joke: Your support will probably suggest using mobile data hotspots. Let me stop you right there: the Odido mobile internet coverage in my apartment is horrific. To get even a single bar of stable connection, I literally have to leave my phone on the window sill. I cannot work or live like this.

My questions for the moderators here:

  1. Can someone actually look into my case and provide a concrete date for when KPN and the gemeente will resolve the blockage?

  2. If Odido cannot provide a stable timeline or a functioning mobile backup in my flat, what is the fastest procedure for me to dissolve all my contracts (Mobile and Internet) with you?

I expect a real answer from a human, not another empty promise of a callback.

Kind regards, Sergey

Hi @Mice, first of all I want to say sorry for this wait time. The issue lies beneath a planter that is in ownership of the city counsel. This is a tricky one. KPN NetwerkNL tells us that they can't arrange this with the counsel. I can check if there is anything we can do, but to be honest, I don't see a quick way to resolve this for you. I have discussed it and I can offer you to cancel your contract without any costs. You can choose a new provider and tell me the date your contract can be cancelled. At that point, we can also credit the period you were offline. Again I am so sorry, we don't want to take this path, but we don't have a lot of options to get you online quick. Can you tell me your wish? I am here for you!

If the problem can not be fixed after 30 days, you can ask the customer care to cancell the fixed internet connection without costs. The mobile subscription will stay.

As the grid provider is the one who needs to repair, quiting at Odido will not bring your fiber back to work with another operator.  Unfortunatly you have to be patience for the dufficult repair. You will be credited for the period you could not use the service.

And lose the discounts? No, thanks. For me, both contracts are linked by discounts; I think that's obvious.

Oh! Thanks for letting me avoid paying for services I won't receive.

Hello @Mice

You have to pay your bills on time, when you have working internet again, than the amount for the days you had no internet will be credited.

I have to pay the bills even when you're not working and not ready to say when you will work. Great =)

Hi there!

Your colleague has already contacted me by phone, and we have found a temporary solution until the main line is restored.

However, to speed up the permanent fix, could you please provide me with more details regarding KPN's communication with the municipality? I need specific information (such as a case number, contact department, or exact location reference) so I can contact the municipality myself and push them to resolve this concrete problem faster.

Thank you!

Hi @Mice, it is great to see that you have been contacted already by us and the situation has been explained to you! Since KPN Netwerk NL is the one who has contacted the municipality, I am not able to see the case number or any other information that is in system of KPN NetwerkNL, otherwise I would've immediately provided you with this. The only information that I have, is the case number with us, which is: 82312962. You can definitely try to contact the municipality yourself, to see if there is any way that they can help you with this!
