Hi, my iPhone was stolen today in Medellín, Colombia. I am a Dutch customer travelling in South America for 3 months and cannot return to the Netherlands. I urgently need two things: (1) block my current SIM card immediately, and (2) activate an eSIM on my new iPhone 12 remotely. I have seen other posts where moderators helped with this. I will send my details (phone number, address, date of birth, last 4 digits IBAN) in a private message. Thank you.

Hi @Fomis, I know you’d like to sort this out as soon as possible. The standard verification method is indeed via text message, but I understand that isn’t an option for you. If you look closely during the activation process, you can also choose to do this via IDIN. Would you mind giving it another go to activate your simcars in de the Mijn Odido? It’s actually listed as an option on the screen during activation!

Found, thanks!

Hi @Fomis, I am so sorry to read this! Let me help you. I want to make sure your sim is blocked. The new eSIM you can arrange yourself via iDIN in Mijn Odido:

  • Ordering: Open the My Odido App, go to your subscription, and select request a new SIM card/eSIM.
  • iDIN verification: The app will ask you to log in via your bank (iDIN) to verify that you are the requester.
  • Installation: Scan the provided QR code with your device via Settings > Mobile network > Add mobile subscription.

To block your sim, I want to help you. For verification, I will send you a DM to verify your details. Once successful verification is complete, I will get to work for you immediately. I will then answer your question in the thread. This way, we ensure the community is full of solutions again. Thank you in advance for your understanding and your efforts!

thanks Cheyenne for your answer!

I ordered new sim, but I didn’t get any iDIN verification, instead it wants me to verify using my phone number, that I don’t have access to.
