change of contract

Hi, I received a message that my internet from Tele 2 is changing to Odido fiber optic from April 30. This year in July or August I will be leaving the Netherlands and will have to cancel the contract. Will I incur any costs for terminating the new contract? I need the internet for work, so it is very inconvenient for me that I have to change the provider a few months before moving to another country. Is it possible to set up internet with a contract that will not last a year or two? I do not care about fiber optics.

If you are 'forced' from DSL to fibre, nothing should change with you contract. If you are already outside of a year contract, you can terminate the contract monthly (with one month notice). This won't change. Unless Odido really makes it clear it will stop DSL service and 'offers' you a new contract. So... did they 'offer' you to go to a fiber connection or did they just tell you that your connection will change?? Don't sign up for anything.

You could also consider terminating the DSL/fiber subscription and go for Klik en Klaar 5G modem for a few months. It doesn't have a year contract and can be terminated with a one month notice. This could be a good option if you don't need TV and are in an area where reception of 5G is decent.
