Removal of call barring

Hi,

My subscription was changed to prepaid end of July this year. I'm abroad and just paid for a 1 month calling subscription, after which I realise there is a call barring set on my SIM card so I can't even use this.

How do I cancel the subscription and get my payment back, and how do I get the call barring removed?

Hi @Yes123 thank you for the information! I checked immediately and I can see that a block has been placed on your SIM card. Don't worry, I have removed it for you. When you restart your device, your SIM card will reconnect to the mast in your area and everything should work properly again!

As for the bundle, I see that it is still valid until October 29, 2025. So you can still use it.

Let me know if everything worked. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello @Yes123 I understand that this raises questions, so let's work together to find a solution! Which bundle did you purchase exactly, and what were the costs? I would like to check whether there is a block on your SIM card.

Could you please add your postal code, house number, and date of birth to your profile? Let me know when you've done this, and I'll check it for you right away!

Hi Pharwin,

I purchased the 200 Min/sms Bel en SMS bundle for €6. I've updated the profile with the requested information.

Thank you!

Hi Pharwin,

I restarted my phone and the call barring is still activated for the SIM card if I check my settings.

Regarding the bundle, yes it's still active, however, I got it to make a few calls that I now had to solve in a different way. This means I've now paid for something I couldn't use. Is it possible to get a refund? Since it seems unreasonable to have been able to buy a product for my SIM card that I couldn't use.

Hello @Yes123 Let's first see if we can get it working, and if not, I will reimburse you for the cost of the bundle.

To rule out a number of issues, I would like to ask you to check a few things on your phone. Could you check whether the software on your device is up to date? You can also reset your phone's network settings. On an Android device, you can do this as follows: Settings > General management. Then select Reset and then Reset network settings. If you have an iPhone, you can do this as follows: Settings > General > Transfer or reset [device] > Reset > Reset network settings. Please note that connected devices will need to be reconnected. Then restart your device.

Let me know if it works!

Hi Pharwin,

The software on my device is up to date. I have tried resetting my phone's network settings and restarted my device. The call barring is still active.

Could it be that I'm still abroad that is the issue? I will continue being abroad for a long time so I will need a solution that does not require me to be in the Netherlands.

I have seen I can remove the call barring myself with some kind of password, so if it's an option you provide me with the password, I'd be glad to try that.

Regarding the bundle, please make sure it's reimbursed. This is a setting that has been changed by ODIDO without my knowledge, and as mentioned, I have been able to then buy a product I am not able to use. Even if it's fixed before the bundle expires, as previously mentioned, I've not been able to use it for the calls I specifically bought it for, and I will have no use for it anymore, as I already had to solve that in a different way.

Good morning @Yes123 ,

Thanks for your detailed message, I really appreciate that you’ve already tried several steps! To make sure we can get this fully resolved for you, could you please share a screenshot of the call barring password you see and let me know what exact message appears on your screen when you try to make a call? That will help us investigate the issue more precisely.

Also, could you tell me where you’re currently located and how long you’ll be staying abroad? This information is needed for the technical investigation.

In the meantime, I’ve added €10 credit to your number while we look into this further. Once I have those details, I’ll make sure this gets checked and resolved for you as quickly as possible!
