Odido secretly reopens contract without permission

I ended a contract with ODIDO in person in Maastricht.

The managers both closed the contracts of my personal and my business phone.

There are witnesses.

I went to KPN.

There is proof and physical contract documentation.

I had to move the business to Berlin.

The contract at KPN was ended.

ODIDO sits in the background and immediately takes the contract back without my knowledge, without my permission , without my awareness.

I am in Germany.

Suddenly in November, it says i need to pay hundreds of euros .

I go back to the Maastricht ODIDO.

The manager confirms I canc3elled it and says he cannot correct their mistake because i need to understand that i went to kpn and cancelled when i went to Germany.

That was his explanation.

In other words, Odido has soem kind of policy that if you end a contract with a new business , that you still belong to odido whether or not you cancelled with odido .

In this case, the managers both know that I wanted nothing to do with ODIDO because of multiple complaints, about their lack of organizatio, lack of service accountability since last February.

I had never given permission to be a customer of ODIDO either, when TMobile sold its business to ODIDO.

I was a customer of TMobile since 2016 and there were no complaints.

ODIDO was horrible.

I gave it a try for one year.  I noticed it had a pattern of constantly sending new invocies for past months.  This was suspicious. No business does this.

Now, even after I terminated my contract with ODIDO in June, 2025, that ODIDO still grabs and commits theft behind my back, even while my busienss cancelled it fully, with complaints , moved to KPN  and also moved to Germany.

I have tried to speak with ODIDO to get this resolved by phone, following all isntructions and I have been transferred to multiple parties over and over - and they hang up or drop the call.

Worse, the ones woh speak english use the word “maam , maam , ammam “ which is extrmeely rude.

I do not speak to them like this but, like my partner told me, the local dutch watches a bit of US television and thinks that this is what they’re supposed to do.  It is not only disrespectful, it describes a ODIDO culture poitning to a lack of resolution.

In this case, it is a breach of the law.

It is illegal to setup a contract without the owner’s permission.

I am just a startup.  Their recklessness hurts me far more and their abuse of my data is incredibly unfair and their inability to resolve it is deliberate.  No one helped.  They also mock people who speak English, and while also carrying out unauthorized financial trespass after a contract was fully and exxplicitly cancelled. .

But if they do this to me, then this is a dangerous warning about ODIDO for much bigger customers than myself.

I trusted the management to cancel the cotnract.

KPN has provided me with proof.

I have shown this to my business operators in Germany because there are tax liabilities.

The bottom line is that ODIDO took over something from TMobile and they damaged everything.

There are no tools to report this crime, to  receive a resolution, and this is adverse to my international experience and trust .

The bottom line is: no one in odido actually cares.

If so, this is a red flag.

I have no choice but to post this to the Dutch government and to the business/freelancer community.

Hello @START-UP welcome to our community! Apologies for the late response. Your topic had been lost, but fortunately we found it again.

Reading your story, it doesn't sound like the service you should expect from us. We apologize for this! I would like to get to the bottom of this for you and see exactly what happened.

Good to know: our community is intended for private subscriptions, where customers help each other. Moderators step in where necessary. For business subscriptions, you can contact my business colleagues by phone at 0800-7112 or contact your account manager. We have limited rights for business subscriptions and cannot see much. That is why it is best to contact them by phone, as they can best help you with this.

If you have to pay an amount, I suspect it is a contract buyout. If you were still under contract with your subscription, you will need to buy it out. You will then pay 50% of the monthly costs for the remaining months and the device credit you still have outstanding. Since you have moved your business abroad, have you also sent proof of this to my colleagues in the collection department? You can do this by emailing incasso@odido.nl for your private subscription.

As for your private subscription, I can look into that for you. Did you also receive confirmation of the cancellation by email? Can you add your full name, phone number, zip code + house number, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of the bank account number we have on file to your profile and let me know when you've done so? Then I can take a look with you right away!

Also good to know: since the transition from T-Mobile to Odido, we have only changed our name. Nothing else has been taken over and the rest has remained the same. We also never conclude a contract without the consent of the contract holder and can never allow a contract to continue if it has already been terminated.
