Hi Odido Community Team,

I recently changed my phone and need to transfer/issue a new eSIM for my number (XXX).

I am currently abroad in Taiwan. When I try to link my subscription on Mijn Odido, I get the error: "Your subscriptions cannot be retrieved."

Since I am overseas and cannot call the 0800 number, could a moderator please help me generate a new eSIM QR code and send it to my email (XXX)?

Thank you!

Hi Yi, welcome to our community. I hope you're enjoying your stay in Taiwan! I've removed your 06-number and e-mail address as both were public for everyone to see. Usually I need to do a verification before I can look into your account, but I've already checked and I see a working Mijn Odido account with your phone number **98. Did you succeed in linking your subscription?

Let's look at the options to order a new eSIM. I can't order a new eSIM for you via the community. But there are a few other options:

  • If you have access to the Odido App, you can order one from there. You also need access to Mijn Odido to activate it. Can you still receive sms (verification) on your current sim? Then you easily order and activate eSIM.
  • If you have access to the Odido App, but you can't receive sms on your current sim, you can log into Mijn Odido with iDIN. Please read more about iDIN here.
  • If you don't have access to the Odido App, please call my colleagues on +31 6 2400 1200 with another phone. They can help you order a new eSIM with strict rules.
  • If none of the above options work for you, you might want to look at a temporary local sim card in Taiwan or SimWallet.

Please let me know if it worked for you!

Hi! Thank you for the quick reply.

I checked my Mijn Odido account, but when I try to open my subscription, the page keeps showing this error: "Your subscriptions cannot be retrieved. Please try again later."

Because of this error, I cannot access the eSIM ordering section at all.

Since I am currently in Taiwan, I cannot log in via the Odido App without SMS 2FA or local network access. Is there any way you could send a verification link/email to my registered email address (XXX) so I can receive the new eSIM QR code?

Thank you for your help!

Good morning Yi, thanks for trying. It's very weird that you're getting this message, while your account does work when I log in. I'm not allowed to order a new eSIM for you due to strict rules. If you have someone near you, please use their phone to call my colleagues on +31 6 2400 1200. They are allowed to help you order a new eSIM when following strict rules. They should be able to help you receive one quickly!
