Zyxel DX5401-B1 crashes and reboots every day


Hello,

My modem DX5401-B1 crashes and reboots every day at least once a day for no reason. When I log in to it, it can crash just because of browsing its admin panel. Logs are useless, because they’re wiped on this crash.

I’ve read some community articles that it can be fixed by firmware downgrade. Could you help me with that or with some other solution?

Firmware version: V5.17(ABZC.0)T54C_b28.

This is indeed a known problem. It's good of you to mention that it's bothering you. I have downgraded the modem for you immediately. The internet will be down for a while, but you'll be up and running again without a bootloop as soon as it's done!

Make sure all the privé fields in your community profile are filled in so a moderator can do a downgrade for you.

Hi ​@nicolasmarino96, thank you for providing your details. Instead of downgrading the firmware, I have sent you a T-56. This model does not have the issue anyway, and you will then have the latest firmware. As soon as the modem has been dispatched, you will be able to track the shipment in Mijn Odido. You will also receive an email with instructions on how to return the T-54. Once you receive the modem, you can enjoy stable internet again. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
