Lan Internet connection

Dear officer,

I plug the Lan caple directly in my pc, but my pc has no response to that, so cannot connect to the Internet. But I can use the WiFi as normal. The modem is setted outside the room btw.

 

What should I deal with this problem plz?

If you use this cable and connect it directly between the modem and a laptop for example does it work then?

The wall socket could be the issue then.

Hi @Nefertary, like Waqqas asked: does the connection work when you connect the PC directly to the modem (one of four LAN-ports on the back of the Zyxel)?

Also, did that socket previously enable an Internet-connection when plugged in directly? Usually these sockets only work when connected to the ISRA.
