No internet Zyxel T-54 + Huawei coverter LOS led red


Hello

 

I have no internet at all since this morning, modem is the Zyxel T54 with a Huawei media converter.

 

Huawei media converter:

 

Power LED: green

LAN: green

LOS: blinks red every one sec.

PON: always off

 

Zyxel T54:

 

All LEDs in green except the internet led, it is always red.

 

I have reset both devices several times with no success. It looks like the problem is in the Huawei, it may not be getting any data from the general box.

 

Is anyone able to double check this situation? I am currently using my phone as a hotspot so I would need my internet fixed as soon as possible.

Obviously I want you to get back online as soon as possible. Well, I just did a line test and the ONT is not contacting the CO. I immediately sent a technician to check it out. Can you make an appointment with Guidion? I would appreciate further feedback on whether the technician was able to resolve the issue. Thank you in advance.

Hi ​@Tommie van Odido I wanted to give you feedback on this topic. The Guidion technician came yesterday but he could not fix it, he said the problem would be on the cables because of the roadworks in front of my house. Today noon two workers from the fiberglass installing company came and replace about 15m of the fiberglass cable in front of my house because the original cable was damaged due to the road works. The connection is now working with no further issues. I would like to request you to adjust my next invoice as I was with no internet at all on 19th, 20th and today till 13.00PM.

 

Besides that, in the meantime I got an email from Odido saying that a new Wifipunt was sent to me, I have not requested this nor no one has informed me about this happening. I assume that it is a new modem to replace the Zyxel T54, can you double check this and confirm if I should use the new device?

Hi ​@davidpebla, thank you so much for the feedback. It is great to see that the fiberglass company was able to fix the fiber so fast for you. I went ahead and immediately refunded the period for you that you were not able to use our services. You will receive an e-mail confirming this in a few minutes and it will be corrected with next month's invoice. 

I do see that a new wifipunt is being sent to you, this is because the one you're currently using isn't optimized to work with your current modem. The new one is! As soon as you have received the new wifipunt, you can send the old one back with the instructions you have received from us.
