Hi all,

Sorry, my Dutch isn’t great, so I need to stick with English for now. I’m taking lessons! 😃

I have an issue accessing a web server hosted on my local server. Today I decided to switch from the DSL Odido connection to the new Klik & Klaar option. I got the 5G router (Zyxel NR5307) and everything works just fine - huge speed boost!

I set up a NAT rule to test access to the network from outside. I started a simple web server on my computer, and set up the rule to forward requests on a given port to my computer.

This works. On a different network, I am able to access the webpage just fine. My friends tested for me, all on different networks themselves.

However, this does not work on my mobile phone, which also is using an Odido subscription. When I try to access the external IP and port on my mobile, it times out. Ping fails. My friend on Lebara mobile can access my IP just fine and see the simple web page.

So I am wondering. Is there a configuration issue on the Odido side that is preventing access to the resource? It’s weird, it works fine on any other network…

Dankjewel in advance for any advice!

Hi @scotmax, welcome to our Community!

How cool to hear that you have Dutch lessons, it can be tricky indeed! This is indeed true, in the current domain it is also not possible to connect from your mobile because it is in front of the NAT-firewall. The service needs to be moved to the other domain to make this possible. We are working on this!

Hoi Tommie,

Thank you for your response! This is very promising! I have two follow-up questions if you are able to respond: 1) is the IP I am assigned on klik&klaar unique to me, or does it shared with other clients, and 2) is there a rough ETA on when moving the service over to the new domain might be complete?

Once this issue is resolved I can use klik&klaar for everything I need! 😎

Thanks so much for your help!

The IP-address is unique @scotmax, it is not shared. For now, I do not have an ETA. It's a pretty tricky and big thing to solve. Network is working on this but no ETA for now.
