Auto switch to Fiber

Hey,
Last month, i got an email and letter from Odido for switching my Home internet from DSL to Fiber. 
Following is some part of the latest email which i got on 16th Jan

Hello,
We have informed you that your internet connection will stop. It will happen soon, so we are sending you a reminder now. To stay connected, you need a new internet connection. That is why we are going to transfer you to Fiber Optic from Odido.

We set up your internet connection
My Address switch to Fiber Optic from:
February 18, 2025

It don’t say anything about new cost, benefit and internet speed.
So could you please let me know

  • what would the cost each month? or any other cost?
  • What will happen my benefit since I also have a mobile subscription from Ben?
  • what would be the internet speed?
  • will my internet stop for any time duration for this?

Hi ​@taru5, I would love to look into this for you! It is true that in some areas DSL will be turned off and you will have to switch to Fiber, but I have checked our system and for your address this is not the case. I am very curious about the e-mail you have received. Did you receive it from us or is it possible that KPN has sent the email? Did you receive this e-mail on the same e-mail address that you use for the community or did you receive it on a different e-mail address? Lastly I want to ask you to send a screenshot of the full e-mail you have receeived. This way we can look into this for you!

Do you have an old Tele2 DSL connection, or an old T-mobile DSL connection?

Did you get earlier warning letters/ emails that the DSL.connection will be stopped and you had to take action ?

I have an DSL connection from T-mobile. I think, i got an email for the same earlier in November as well.
I thought more information will follow but the latest email don’t have all the details which i think should be there.
In the email it also says switch to Fiber and get discount for 9 months but when i tried it via my account earlier it didn’t gate any offer.
So now, i my thinking if it’s worth to go for this upgrade with Odido since other operators are giving some discount for couple of months.
Could you please share more information about above question, or share other details like what can i expect and when?
FYI, Fiber cable is already available at my address

So your connection will be switched to Fiber on 18 February.

You should receive new equipment fromOdido atleast 1 week before that date and have you received an email to schedule an appointment with a Guidion technician for the installation?

Which speed do you have now with DSL? The price will change, please do the postcodecheck on the Odido website and see the new price there (without discount).

I did’t receive any email to schedule an appointment with a Guidion technician yet. When can i expect this? and will the internet stop if i don’t get any appointment from Guidion before 18th Feb?
Right now my DSL speed is 100/30 Mb/s and i pay ~ 30 euro for that after benefit. For the similar speed 100/100 mb/s on Fiber it’s 45 euro without benefit adjustment.

Fill in the privé fields in your community profile so a moderator can check what's going on exactly and why you haven't received the new equipment yet and why you haven't received an email to make an appointment with the technician yet.

€45 will be your new price but if you subscribe to Odido or Ben mobile than the price for Fiber will be reduced to €40.

Waqqas and me are other customers from Odido and can not look in systems.

The reason of my question was that as copper is phased out in the netherlands by the grid operator KPN, Odido informs it's customers well ahead that "there dsl connection will be terminated". They ask for some action from your side to step over to fiber and indeed, that costs will go up. You also can inform Odido that you will cancell the internet service.

If you do not respond, after the final warning they have to start the migration otherwise you will loose your internet service soon.

Thanks for share the info. Last week i called the Customer care but they really don’t see any migration email/request in the system for my account. I will try again today.

Hello ​@taru5, we want to make sure you stay online! It is indeed true that customers who are phasing out DSL will receive an email to switch to fiber optic. When I look at your account, I do not see the option to switch to fiber or the email you shared with us. Can you check for me whether the zip code and house number you entered in your profile are correct? And would you also like to put the email address at which you received this email in your profile under 'Info for moderator'. We will then investigate this for you!

Hi ​@taru5, to be honest I can't find why we can't see the situation as mentioned in the e-mail. But, that is not important at the moment. More important is that you will need Fiber soon, as KPN will stop the DSL line. I did some digging and I want to advise you to contact 088-1005790, as stated in the e-mail. This is our Sales department. Once you are selected, they will offer a great deal + discount to transfer you to Fiber. I can not offer this deal, only my Sales colleagues can. Please know that they are happy to assist. You can reach them on workdays between 09:00 and 17:00!
