I guess I have to do this publicly, like many others.
I got Odido internet (1Gbit/s - Symmetrical glass fiber) & phone in September 2024. Almost immediately, I began having speed & stability issues with my internet. Called Odidio for help and they tried to update my router. This didn't help so they set up an appointment for a technician at the end of September. The technician replaced my router which didn’t help, and later replaced the ONT box (same model that is known to have issues), with no improvement. After a few months of dealing with the back and forth, I initiated attempts at fixing these issues at the start of January. I’ve made a few calls to Odido and every time there is something that is either being fixed, updated or I am on a list for a new ONT box (but not the high priority list), requiring me to wait for 2-4week intervals to see if anything has changed. The latest interval had me conveniently waiting a day or two after my monthly billing was charged. Called again (March 5th) and expectantly got told it would be another week and a half until our ONT box would be updated, not replaced. Instead of dealing with this longer, I decided to cancel my internet and got put on hold. After almost an hour on hold I had to go to work.
I do not like all the stalling tactics, gaslighting customers and closing cases without resolution.
Odido, internet speed is not everything. Using speed test to prove that off-peak I can obtain 1Gbit/s download (albeit 300Mbit/s upload, and non existent after 6pm for the entire connection) is not the win you think it is. Latency & stability matters significantly.
It has become evident that Odido is the Comcast of the Netherlands.
Since I can’t cancel over the phone, I am requesting a cancellation here. I would like to have my internet contract cancelled (without fees) and internet disconnected at the end of March. I will keep my phone plans with Odido because I have not had any issues (yet).
