How to access my router?

Hi community,

I hope you don't mind if I write in English, thank you in advance.

Today the internet business was set up in our house but I can't access the router in any way. On the back of the modem it displays the data as well as the IP 192.168.1.1 but it doesn't work and when I try 192.168.0.1 (I think it was like that) it displays the page for a few seconds but then closes and displays an error saying that the page is not can be found.

I want to configure DMZ for my UDM Pro because otherwise I will lose all services due to firewall rules.

How can I access the router?

Thanks everyone,
Best regards,
André

Hi. Why not just remove the Zyxel router entirely? You can connect the cable from the ONT directly with the UDM Pro. The only thing you need to setup in the UDM Pro is setting VLAN 300. But you don't need the Zyxel router (especially if your putting that UDM in the DMZ).

As an addition to @rvk01, what error do you receive when trying to log in to 192.168.1.1? This should work. Please try an ethernet connection when entering the modem!

This was the first thing I tried but I loose connection.

I took the directly and instead to go to the WAN in the modem/router I used in the WAN from UDM Pro.

@AndreSilva

You have Odido zakelijk right? Call 0800 7112 and tell them that you want to use your own router, you'll receive an email with login credentials etc.

Can you acces the Zyxel when the UDM is disconnected?

For a half of a second the page appears and gone.
The sketchy thing that I need it to do was:

  • install chrome
  • access the IP
  • as soon the image appears press and hold the back key (left arrow)

With few try and error I was able to login but sometimes I got that error again and back and forward and press again back key.

ah ah

I connected my mac directly to the Zyxel and still nothing.

Tried 5 different browsers in incognito, etc

Hi all,

So , there’s a knowing problem going on with business internet and they are trying to fix it; what explains the difficult that I’m having, but I don’t think that will fix the problem accessing the router.

Anyway, they gave me the credentials and the info that I need it.

Btw, is not as simple as change VLAN to 300, my was far away from 300 :) (yes, now I’m connected without Zyxel router). The only downsize is if the internet goes down I can’t use the backup 4G that came with the service.

Thank you all for your input and support.

Regards,
André

@AndreSilva I made this guide a while ago. It explains how you can login to the router and how to get the PIN code for the 4G back up. It's in Dutch, but I'm sure Google Translate can help. If anything is unclear, let me know.
