Hello @haydercj, welcome to our Community! I understand very well that you want to receive text messages abroad, let's look at a solution together!
I've checked your subscription right away and I don't see any specifics, which is why it's not working. To exclude some things, I would like to ask you to check some things in your phone. Could you check if the software of your phone is up to date? In addition, you can also reset your phone's network settings. On an Android device, you do this in the following way: Settings > General Administration. Then choose Reset and then Reset network settings. If you have an iPhone then do this as follows: 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Transfer or reset edevice]' > 'Reset' > 'Restore network settings'. Keep in mind that connected devices, need to be reconnected.
Can you indicate which country you are in and until when? So it also fails to manually connect to another provider's network? Are you also not receiving the text messages on any other network? Is your Roaming even on? In your account I see that you recently received a new SIM card, do the problems still persist with that? Had you already tried inserting the SIM card into another device to see if you still don't receive the text messages then? If it doesn't work in another device either, it's probably because of your SIM card.
I look forward to seeing your response!
@Pharwin van Odido, i requested the new Esim to check if the problem is with it, but no luck, i can send sms but i can't receive them, I've tried everything you listed no luck, i have another sim from odido for business and that is working fine no issue,
Im always travelling between Istanbul, Baghdad and dubai.
And i need the sms to work coz im getting OTP and stuff on that number and its not easy to change it
Hi @haydercj Indeed, I see with your subscription that you recently activated a new eSIM. Do I understand correctly that you also previously had an eSIM with this problem? And with this eSIM you have the same? Then there is a chance it is due to the pairing of the eSIM with your device. I think a physical SIM card will be the solution. I can order this for you, so you will have the new physical SIM card within 3 business days. Or you can drop by one of our stores, where my colleague can provide you with a new SIM card right away.
Or I can also possibly forward a case for you to one of our network specialists, so they can investigate it for you. In that case, I would be happy to receive some additional information.
- Can you indicate which country you are in now and until when?
- Do you have 2 or 3 recent examples for me with a date, time, location and the other number that sent the text message to you? These examples should be no more than 3 days old and you can send them to me in a private message.
Can you let us know what your preference is? Should your preference be the survey, I look forward to receiving your private message with the information. Then I can put it through for you right after that!
