Can’t send SMS to UK

Hi, I just got my NL residency permit and so I now have a Dutch number. I have been trying to text a relative in the UK who does not have WhatsApp etc but it keeps saying ‘message sending failure’ then leaves it with the red ‘not delivered!’ message next to the text. I have had a look at my settings and there is nothing barred on the account so not sure what else I can do. I’ve been trying to get through to Odido on Saturday and today but the chat keeps saying there’s no one available. 
 

I would be grateful for any help 😊

Do you have a Odido subscription?

Can you send an sms the a local number in the Netherlands? Also try sending an sms to someone else in the EU.

Thank you for your reply. I do have an Odido subscription with unlimited calls and text plus data and we’ve double checked in the barring section that there’s nothing going on there. I can message within the Netherlands no problem by text and have just tried my friend in Sweden and that went through as a text (as in I took iMessages off). 🤷🏼‍♀️

Maybe it's a problem on the receivers side.
