Invoice problem

A few months ago, I purchased and iPhone 16 from Odido and also got a 2 year contract. My customer number is XXX. Up until January, I was paying 46.68 euros every month. However, in January, as I was moving out of the Netherlands, I paid off my phone and canceled my contract. I was told that I would only have to pay a total of about 150 euros over 2 years following this. I have recently received an invoice for the same amount as before I paid off my phone. I cancelled the transaction from my account but I would like to rectify this invoice and pay it off as I do not want to incur any extra fees.

Please advise.

Hello @xaina thanks for adding the details in your profile! I immediately went to check for you and can see that we did not double charge you. Let me explain to you exactly what happened. You paid an amount of € 724,73 on February 3, 2025 for buying off your phone credit. At the time of your installment, the February invoice was just in front of you. The installment of the phone credit is considered an incoming payment. Normally, the incoming amount for the phone credit is “reserved” so that on the bill you pay only your normal bill amount and the “amount to be offset” is then deducted from the bill.

But sometimes it can happen that the amount paid is offset against the outstanding bill. That's what happened in your case. You never had to pay the February invoice, which came out to €14.99. This invoice was also not collected. So quite a story, sorry about that. The bottom line is that different amounts have been offset against each other. At the bottom of the line all charges and debits are correct. You won't pay a penny too much or too little. Your next bill will be without phone credit.

I hope it has become clear. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

If you pay off the phone during a month, the recurring payment fee of that month is already placed on the invoice which is in production. The fees for the months after are payed off by thebone off.

You can check the older invoices and count that in total you pay 24 x the monthe fee for the phone, and that will include payment which you cancelled.

The collecting process will start now and i advice to pay the invoice again via Ideal in your account of by manual transfer to avoid debt collection fees.

i paid off my phone on the 3rd of February and ended the contract a week later. Shouldn’t the payment for this month be reduced?

Hi @xaina you can click on your profile by your name. At the field ''date of birth'' you can enter it and save the data as well. You can also mention it in another field, such as ''info for moderator''. We prefer that you do not share it publicly on our Community, as everyone can read it and it is not convenient to have private data in public.

If you can fill it in your profile and give us a sign when you've done so, we can immediately look at your invoice!
