Hello, I am leaving the Netherlands and would like to cancel my mobile contract. However I cannot find the option to do this on the mijnodido website. How can I cancel the contract?

What a shame that you are leaving us, but of course very understandable that you no longer need the subscription, since you are leaving for abroad!

No worries, I'll be happy to give you more clarity! Is your subscription already out of contract? Then you can easily cancel the subscription through your My Odido account: https://www.odido.nl/my/abonnement-opzeggen. Please note that you always have one month's notice with us. 

If you would like me to look into your account or take care of it for you, please enter your customer number in your profile or send me a private message with your phone number, zip code + house number, date of birth and the last 4 digits of your bank account number for verification. Then I can check with you!

No worries, I'll be happy to give you more clarity! Is your subscription already out of contract? Then you can easily cancel the subscription through your My Odido account: https://www.odido.nl/my/abonnement-opzeggen. Please note that you always have one month's notice with us. 

If you would like me to look into your account or take care of it for you, please enter your customer number in your profile or send me a private message with your phone number, zip code + house number, date of birth and the last 4 digits of your bank account number for verification. Then I can check with you!

Hi @Jacobgutz, thanks for sharing your customber number! 

I see that your contract still runs through 28-5-2024. If you want to cancel it, you need to buy out the subscription. You will then pay 50% of the monthly costs for the remaining months and the device credit you currently have outstanding. Please note that you always have one month's notice.

Hi! Sorry to get into this conversation but I was considering taking a new Odido contract but I might leave before one year. Don't you have an exception that does not charge any fine or fee if the reason to cancel is moving to another address within NL or overseas? Thanks if you can clarify it!

Hi ​@fdamaral, nice to read that you're thinking about taking a new contract with us! If you order a new contract or do a renewal, there are no exceptions for cancelling a contract early without a cancellation fee. I saw that your current subscription is already outside of your contract. If you're happy with your current subscription, you can simply keep it, because you can cancel it monthly, in case you're moving abroad within a year. You can always change your (bellen, sms or data) bundles as well via Mijn Odido. is there anything in specific that you're looking for in a new contract? Please also fill in your full name, 06-number, date of birth, zip code + house number and the last 4 digits of your IBAN in your profile. I'm happy to look into the possibilities with you! 😄

Hi. I am thinking about fiber. Personal or zakelijk. 

 

I am not going to change my mobile to a new contract but if I did it would work in the entire EU, hopefully, so I could use it in Portugal without any extra fee. 

 

If I move I might need or want to cancel a potential fiber contract, though. I also can't find how to calculate the cancelation costs if I just dislike the service and choose to get something else. 

 

I see posts here saying that showing proof of moving out from the current location or proof of moving in a new one is enough to waive those fees, other topics give different information. Which is right? Same rules between personal and zakelijk? I don't know if I will move to Portugal and I am a ZZP. I could consider taking a new one year fiber but not if I lose a lot of money in case I move out in a few months 😢
