Hi,


My klantnr is VJG45786.

Perhaps the problem started earlier, but have noticed only now at 11:30. Fixed internet is down.
Zyxel T-56, even after restarting ONT + router, router doesn’t come online, ‘Internet’ led is constant red.
ONT leds look good (Power green, PON green, 10G eth green, LOS is dark)

Logging into router’s admin page, it complains about WAN connectivity being down. So it looks like physical link is up, but WAN leg of the router doesn’t have IP address / DNS servers assigned.

Manually clicking on renew DHCP lease doesn’t help, lease not renewed, still no IP / DNS servers.

Called customer support, they couldn’t reach the modem either (no surprise) so they scheduled a mechanic, but I don’t think a DHCP problem will be resolved by the mechanic.

Is there already an ongoing problem? Can this report be looked at by someone who can verify internal configuration as well? (DHCP leases availability, port VLAN assignment, etc.)

What you could also try is perform a factory reset to see if it helps or not.

I Got exactly the same issue.
Also happened around 11:30 and still havent internet.
My zipcode is 8244GD. What is yours?

8244EB. So it is affecting an area, and not individual customers, as I was suspecting.

Factory resetting the modem is not what i expect to help, rather verifying the port(s) configuration on the switch to which we are connected. But i don’t know how to get this issue to a person who can do that.

Hoping someone notices it and don’t need to wait until tomorrow for Guidion to come (in vain).


I hope it gets noticed too. A mechanic has been scheduled for me too that probably won't help.

228-10-2024/12:50] We zien dat een aantal van onze klanten problemen ondervindt met Internet, TV en Vast Bellen in regio Lelystad. Op dit moment zijn we op zoek naar de oorzaak en de oplossing. Excuses voor het ongemak. In dit topic houden we je op de hoogte.
Update t28-10-2024/15:50]  Er is een monteur onderweg naar de locatie voor verder onderzoek. 

Update d28-10-2024/19:50] Het onderzoek is nog in volle gang. Zodra er een concrete update is, plaatsen we deze meteen! Update d28-10-2024/21:35] De monteur heeft geconstateerd dat een kabelbreuk de oorzaak is voor dit probleem. Dit zal samen met KPN ondergronds gerepareerd moeten worden en gaat waarschijnlijk tot in de nacht duren.


Appreciate a moderator coming in, and spending time on marking my question as resolved (with my own answer) :>  Hope the actual troubleshooting is also ongoing with the same meticulousness.

 

There is no internet in a whole city, folks.


I also heard that the internet was down in the Warande and Landstrekenwijk area, only for Odido customers.
