Hello, sorry for writing in English.

I have a T-mobile Home connection with internet and TV and I need to connect a few more devices to the internet using a more stable connection. I already found out that ports 3 and 4 in the HG659 router are exclusive for TV.

Now, if I connect an unmanaged switch like Netgear GS105, can not I just connect it and I do not need it?

Thanks in advance everyone.
Hi thalesc, if you're looking for an easy 'Plug 'n Play' switch then something like the Netgear GS105 will work just fine when connected to port 1 or 2 of the modem! Keep in mind though that the configuration options on something like this are very limited. So if you want to set up a more advanced network in the future with multiple network settings then it might be worth it to invest in a good router. This will also give you the added benefit of being able to use the router as an Acces Point for Wifi. But a good router has a very different price range so for quick and easy a switch like this will do just fine 😉
