HI

I cannot make international call on my new TMobile Subscription . Do i need to activate it ?

Also my Tmobile shall work outside of Europe under Intl Roaming ?

Pls reply

Hello @khurramsiddiqi8

New customers have a barring on their subsciption for the first 2 months, after 2 months the barring will automatically be removed.

The barring includes that you cannot call, sms or use data outside NL, calling to international numbers, calling to service numbers and making use of paid sms services.

This is to protect the customers from getting unexpected high bills.

Thank you for the kind reply with useful information.

But this was not been told to me at the time of getting the Subscription,

And am i able to receive SMS while abroad ?

Also is there any way to remove the barring before 2 months ?

Basically i am travellng & i require my number to remain active to receive the SMS. WIll this work ?

@khurramsiddiqi8

Outside NL your simcard will show no service so you cannot receive an sms abroad unfortunately, you can get these barrings removed when you pay an amount. I'm not sure how much but wait for a moderator to reply, they can help you with this.

Hey @khurramsiddiqi8,

I’m happy to help you and lift the restrictions for you! Please fill in your 06-number in your profile and let me know when done. 😄

Kind regards,

Marciano

I have mentioned my subscription no in the profile. WIll you be able to check that now ?

Thanks

Hey @khurramsiddiqi8,

Thanks for the quick response! I just removed the restrictions, so you should be able to connect to a network and use our services again. If you still can’t in the next 30 minutes, please restart your phone.

Let me know if it works for you. I’d love to hear from you! 😄

Thank you. i am able to call Internationally.

Basically i need to ensure that I shall get coverage While during ROaming so i can get the SMS

Hi,

You’re very welcome! Good to hear. Outside of the EU you will need a Travel & Surf add on. Click this link to read everything about it.

Is there anything I can do for you right now? If so, feel free to let me know. If not, I wish you a great stay! 😎

@Marciano, I am having kind of the same problem. My subscription is from 2021. I cannot make international calls. Can you fix my account too? Please its urgent.

Hi @Anitam Nirjhar I've checked the number that's mentioned in your profile. Is that the correct number? I can see that there are no barrings submitted. Can you reboot the device once and check whether 'data roaming' and 'mobile data' are turned on? The 'do not disturb' and 'airplane mode' functions are off?

If it is not the settings, can you connect to another provider? In ICountry] you can choose sproviders]. On our website we have a nice overview per country: https://www.t-mobile.nl/mobiel-abonnement/buitenland/cover-buitenland. Could you try for me to manually select a network from another provider to see if it works? I'd like to hear it from you!

Kind regards,

Pharwin

Hello,

I have the same problem too, unable to make or receive calls and send message from abroad, the service has been active for more than 2 months. So, if anyone here, Mr. Mariano or Mr. Pharwin could check if there are still restrictions or barring in my account please, I appreciate that. Roaming and data setting are on and no airplane mode. I have restarted several times with no luck. Thank you for the help.

Hello @Vmanuputty, let's look at a solution together! What country are you in now? When I search on your email address, I come across the number ending in ***5011. It concerns a PrePaid connection. In your account I see that you had several blockages, but that you have since lifted them yourself today. Is everything working properly now? If there is anything else I can do for you, just let me know!

Hi,

@Pharwin, Thank you for the quick reply. I'm in the USA right now and so far nothing has worked. Still unable to make or receive calls and send messages, although, no problem on receiving messages and sending messages to service numbers. If there's a problem with the signal, receiving message shouldn't working either but it does work. Everytime I make a call from US number to this number it will say that the number or circuit is busy. If there's no restrictions or barring on the account what could be the problem that prevent me to make and receive calls and sending messages. Thank you again for your help.

Hi @Vmanuputty ,

Are you connected to t-mobile usa? Prepaid subscriptions are always more tricky to support all services than regular postpaid.  What is the balance on the Prepaid account? Calling is quite expensive.

Hi @eric,

Yes I'm connected to t-mobile and the balance is 67 Euro. I understand that calling is expensive but it shouldn't prevent me from sending messages, unless there's a minimum balance for that too?

Well, 67 euro is more than enough for making some calls or be called.

Strange that when you call your Dutch number it says” circuit is busy”. I assume it is not the Americal subscription not be able to call to a Dutch number..

@Vmanuputty Have you already rebooted your device? Often this will still help, as your phone will reconnect to the mast in your area.

To rule out some things, I would like to ask you to check some things in your phone. Could you check if the software of your phone is up to date? In addition, you can also reset your phone's network settings. On an Android device, you do this in the following way: Settings > General Administration. Then choose Reset and then Reset network settings. If you have an iPhone, you do it this way: 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Transfer or reset tdevice]' > 'Reset' > 'Restore network settings'.

I'd love to hear if this works!

@eric you might be right about the US number maybe restricted to call international but I'm not 100% sure. @Pharwin van Odido , Thank you for the instructions and I've done so with no change but I found out that I was able to send messages to dutch number. Still no luck in making or receiving a call.

@Vmanuputty I see with your subscription that everything is set up correctly and should work. Perhaps it is down to your SIM card. Is it possible to perform a cross test with your sim card? Put your SIM card in another device to check if the problem still occurs. This way you can find out if it's because of your sim card or device.

I would love to hear from you!

@Pharwin van Odido, I finally found the problems. It's the phone itself like you said and the signal. I went to different city and it worked perfectly fine. Thank you for your help and fast reply. Excellent customer service.

Hi @Vmanuputty, I'm glad to read that Pharwin could help you with this as he did and on his behalf; you're very welcome. I forwarded your message to him, I'm sure he will be happy with it. If you have any questions in the future, please feel free to start a new topic. We're here for you. For now, I wish you a great day! 😊
