My subscription ended two weeks ago, and I of course want to keep my number since it was also carried to odido from another provider. But I have been informed that they deactivated my account and my number is unreachable?! I hope the person on the phone just didn't know what they were talking about because deleting my number just shortly after my subscription is absurd. I would like to know how I can get my number back and switch to prepaid please.

You just ask for number portability at your new provider. They will request the number from Odido.

Thanks, but they are asking for a text message confirmation to make sure that is indeed my number. How am I going to provide that?

Hi @ceyhun_colak, welcome to our Community! Very understandable that you want your number back. I will be happy to find out if there is anything I can do for you. I took a look at your number and I see that it has already been cancelled. You always have a month's notice and in this month it is always your own responsibility to request number portability. I see it has not been done either, hence the number has now expired and your subscription has been cancelled.

I see that it concerns an old-Tele2 subscription. Old-Tele2 customers cannot be converted to PrePaid because they never had it. You can of course request a PrePaid connection yourself via our website and request Number portability. Or request Number portability with your new provider. I see that for now it is still possible to reactivate your subscription and release your number for porting. However, a handling fee of € 25,43 (incl. VAT) will be charged. Because it is your own responsibility to take the number to another provider or keep it active in another way. Nothing I can do about that, sorry!

If you agree, I can take care of it for you. I can (presumably) release the number as of 27/11/24 for takeover. If you then apply for Number Retention (with a new PrePaid connection or with another provider), your number can be taken over. Would you like that?

I'd love to hear from you!

@Pharwin van Odido thank you very much for your response. Yes I would actually like to stay with Odido and get a new card and then transfer my number there. Can you please lead me through the process? And does the fee apply still if I don't change providers?

Hi @ceyhun_colak, no problem! The fee will remain even if you stay with us, this really has to do with your number having to be reactivated again and there are those costs associated with that. Can you let me know when you requested a new PrePaid SIM card? Then I can activate your number again, release it for takeover and request Number Retention together with you, so your number will be transferred to your new sim card!

@Pharwin van Odido I understand. I have a new sim card so yes please let's reactivate my number

Hi @ceyhun_colak, I have just activated the number for you and also immediately released it for porting so you can apply for Number Retention. You can request this very easily via our website: https://www.odido.nl/service/abonnement/mobiel/overstappen/nummerbehoud/aanvragen.

The number can be ported to your new PrePaid SIM card as of tomorrow (19/12/24). Can you let me know if it works out?

I'd love to hear from you!

@Pharwin van Odido thanks very much. I actually ended up getting a simcard from another provider. Does that change anything? If not I am ready to transfer it asap.

Hello @ceyhun_colak that is also possible, no problem! You can request number portability with your new provider, then your own number will be transferred to your new provider.

If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know. Otherwise, I wish you a happy New Year and lots of fun with your new provider!

@Pharwin van Odido thanks so much, wishing you all the best for 2025 as well. I am on the last step of transferring my number, but they ask for my client number which I don't have access to anymore. Could you help me get that information? Thanks

Hello @ceyhun_colak, thanks I also wish you all the best for 2025! No problem, I will immediately send you an private message with your customber number. Then you should be just fine applying for Number Retention with your new provider!
